About Kauai Ramen

Tucked away in the scenic town of Eleele, HI, is a little gem known as Kauai Ramen. This unassuming eatery, located at 4469 Waialo Rd, invites visitors to experience a taste of Japan right in the heart of the Pacific. The vibe here is welcoming, with a fusion of laid-back island charm and a hint of traditional Japanese culture. As one steps inside, the aromas of rich broth and sizzling delicacies immediately captivate the senses, setting the stage for a memorable culinary adventure.

The menu at Kauai Ramen is a delightful journey through a variety of flavors and textures. Both locals and travelers have raved about the tonkotsu ramen, which boasts a creamy pork broth that has been simmered for hours, culminating in a depth of flavor that’s both rich and comforting. Those in the mood for something a bit spicier might gravitate toward the tantanmen ramen, an enticing bowl with just the right amount of heat. Vegetarians aren't left out either, as the miso-based options incorporate locally-sourced produce and deliver on taste without sacrificing tradition.

It's not just ramen that steals the show here. Kauai Ramen's small plates and appetizers also earn their share of accolades. Gyoza, perfectly pan-fried with a juicy filling, and karaage, crispy fried chicken with a savory twist, both make for excellent starters. For those who appreciate a cold brew or sake to accompany their meal, the drink selection complements the menu beautifully, offering a refreshing break amidst the warmth of Hawaii.

Reviews from patrons mention not only the delightful dishes but also Kauai Ramen's friendly service and relaxed setting. Conversations flow as freely as the island breezes moving gently through the cozy dining area. Whether it's families enjoying a meal or friends catching up over a bowl, camaraderie seems to be a central ingredient.

In conclusion, Kauai Ramen is a must-visit for anyone on the island of Kauai, whether ramen aficionados or newcomers to Japanese cuisine. This spot is where culinary craving meets cozy comfort. Drop by and let Kauai Ramen take those taste buds on a trip they won't soon forget.

Such a cozy and delicious spot! My husband and I came here for my birthday dinner and absolutely loved it. The whole atmosphere felt so warm and inviting, and the ramen was honestly some of the best I’ve ever had — incredibly flavorful and comforting. The prices were also way better than any other ramen place I’ve been to, which was such a nice surprise. The staff were so kind and helpful, and our food came out super fast. Parking was also really easy to find, which made the whole experience stress-free. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back!

No photos available, too hungry to take any pictures.... lol. I was invited to attend a small women's fellowship during dinner and we decided to have Ramen. The wait was very minimal even though they were busy. We ordered hamachi sushi, salmon roll, rainbow roll, deep-fried soft shell crab, deep fried gyoza, and our saimin (4). I ordered the Miso saimin which tasted really bland. I added Tabasco and soy sauce to give it more taste. Giving 3 stars for food because my saimin had no taste and 3 for service because of language barrier. Other than that everything else was ok.

It is one of the few restaurants that I have. Until late in the south of the island, they have a wide variety of dishes to choose from, the staff is very friendly and they serve you fast, the food is good in relation to the price as it is not overly expensive, also you have a supermarket nearby and several stores if you need to shop etc.

Ate here 2 years ago and it was good. Ate here today and it was better. I had chicken katzu and ramen with pot stickers and they were both delicious. We also got another bowl of ramen and fried rice with shrimp and two drinks. Total bill $31.00 unbelievable. Returned again today 06/05/23. Still great and very affordable. Staff is very responsive. Lots of locals eating here too. In fact each time I go it's mostly locals.
